Paolo Driussi, ricercatore in Linguistica Ugrofinnica, terrà  un seminario sulla Functional Discourse Grammar (Hengeveld-MacKenzie 2008) che sarà presentata attraverso una analisi della lingua inglese, a partire dal recente volume di Evelien Keizer (2015).
Questo seminario presenterà le tesi fondamentali della teoria appplicate alla lingua inglese.
L’incontro è pensato per specialisti che vogliano avvicinarsi a questa teoria o approfondirne alcuni aspetti. È richiesta competenza su temi di linguistica. Il corso si rivolge a colleghi, studenti di dottorato e di MA, ma tutti possono partecipare.

In this seminar Paolo Driussi, Fellow Researcher in Linguistica ugrofinnica at the University of Udine, will offer a survey of Functional Discourse Grammar (Hengeveld-MacKenzie 2008) through an analysis of English, based on Evelien Keizer’s recent book (2015)
This introduction will offer an overall presentation of the theory applied to English.
The seminar is conceived for specialists who want to know something about the theory or discuss some aspects of it. Some knowledge about linguistics is required. Collegues, Doctoral students, MA students are welcome, but anybody can attend.

ITA Introduzione alla Functional Discourse Grammar

Venerdì 4 dicembre, venerdì 11 dicembre ore 14-18.


Paolo Driussi, ricercatore in Linguistica Ugrofinnica, terrà due incontri di Introduzione alla Functional Discourse Grammar – FDG (Hengeveld, Kees, Mackenzie Lachlan Functional Discourse Grammar. A typologically-based theory of language structure. Oxford, Oxford University 2008) nelle giornate di venerdì 4 e 11 dicembre 2015, presso l’Università di Udine, dalle 14 alle 18.

Questi incontri presenteranno le tesi fondamentali della teoria.
In marzo o aprile gli incontri continueranno con la presentazione di possibili applicazioni della teoria utilizzando il volume Keizer, Evelien A Functional Discourse Grammar for English. Oxford, Oxford University 2015 e sulla base delle esperienze del relatore nell’insegnamento dell’ungherese.

Per coloro che non potessero essere presenti il giorno 4 dicembre un riassunto della prima parte verrà svolto venerdì 11 a cominciare dalle ore 10.30.

ENG Introduction to Functional Discourse Grammar

Friday December 4th, Friday December 11th, from 2 pm to 6 pm.

A brief introductory course on Functional Discourse Grammar – FDG (Hengeveld, Kees, Mackenzie Lachlan Functional Discourse Grammar. A typologically-based theory of language structure. Oxford, Oxford University 2008) will be given by Paolo Driussi, Reader at the University of Udine, on Friday 4th and 11th of December, from 2 pm to 6 pm at the University of Udine.
This introduction will deal with general aspects of the theory.
In March or April there will be a follow-up about possible applications of the theory, based mainly on: Evelien Keizer A Functional Discourse Grammar for English. Oxford, Oxford University 2015, and enriched with the experience of the speaker in teaching Hungarian.

For those who can’t attend the meeting on Dec. 4th, a summary of the first part will be given on Dec. 11th from 10.30 am.
